Day of Prayer – October 5 (Sr. Anne Amati, OSF)

About Our Presenter

Anne Amati, OSF is a native of Trenton, NJ of Polish and Italian heritage. She entered the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia in 1960 and has ministered over the years as an educator on various levels, a facilitator, an itinerant retreat director and in congregational leadership. A pivotal moment in her religious life was the invitation in 1989 to join the staff of the Franciscan Pilgrimage Programs. As a result, Anne spent many summers as a pilgrimage leader traversing the streets of Rome and Assisi facilitating, lecturing, and celebrating with groups of pilgrims as they visited the sacred sites of Saints Francis and Clare in Italy. This experience became an integral component in her formation in the Franciscan charism. Anne was also invited to lead a pilgrimage to the sites of the first Christian communities in Greece and Turkey. She is looking forward to the surprises God will continue to unfold before her on her pilgrim journey of life.
